My name is Radmila solaja. 

I am a photographer, a high school Art Teacher and a certified art therapist.

 

My work scope is versatile as I used to work on various architecture projects and as a subcontractor for other peer photographers during the busy wedding season. My style of editing is 'painterly' in its nature, as I use digital editing tools to paint in the effects and retouch my images.

 

I am a wife & a mother of two cheeky bubbles of pure magic, and we swapped our seascape Idylle of the Newport/Williamstown area to start our adventure and build our home amongst the gum trees of Eltham.

ArtEscape project was created as a result of an idea that started growing some 15 years ago! My studies of visual and applied arts and literature inspired it. This infatuation branched onto trying to know ways in which we visualise the content of books, kids' books in particular, as I grew up in the landscapes of the Adriatic sea, bathed in sunshine and tymbaling sounds of cicadas while admiring Russian illustrations of their fairy tales.

 

at the age of 26,  I married and Moved to Australia, where I worked as A family photographer,   specifically devoted to Child and animal photography

(subcontracting for: 'School Snaps' - kindergarten photography; "Mini Maestro's music school" in Williamstown;  pet photography - "PET EXPO' at Melbourne exhibition centre, 'Million Paws Walk' at Albert Park,  RSPCA's headquarters in Burwood, 'jet pets" Animal air transport, and  'furrever pet" photography from Yarraville). 

Working on all these projects, I developed an eye and love for capturing candid moments. I focused on working in ambient light settings, where the emphasis was on natural light which laid the ground for my photography style.
